brominemedia.com - Wali Kota Medan, Bobby Nasution, menunjukkan keseriusannya melakukan pembenahan untuk menyelesaikan persoalan klasik banjir di Ibu Kota Provinsi Sumatera Utara (Sumut).
Hampir 3 tahun ini, Bobby fokus melakukan perbaikan di sejumlah sektor untuk menyelesaikan banjir. Pembenahan drainase jadi projek pertama yang terus dilaksanakan 3 tahun terakhir.
Membangun kolam retensi juga menjadi upaya Bobby Nasution menyelesaikan persoalan banjir. Tak hanya itu, Bobby juga mengajak banyak pihak untuk berkolaborasi.
Terkini, Bobby datang ke Jenderal Dudung Abdurachman selaku Kepala Staf Angkatan Darat (KSAD). Bobby mengajak TNI AD kolaborasi membantu normalisasi Sungai Deli sepanjang 30-an Kilometer (Km).
Dalam waktu dekat ini, kolaborasi Bobby dengan TNI AD akan segera melakukan normalisasi Sungai Deli. Sebelumnya, parit emas juga akan dilebarkan demi memperlancar aliran air yang mengalir dari sejumlah drainase di Kecamatan Medan Area.
"Kalau parit ini diperlebar, aliran air semakin lancar dan mampu mengurangi debit air di beberapa kawasan. Saya harap dukungan dan pengertian warga," kata Bobby Nasution beberapa waktu lalu.

Saat hujan deras, Senin, 25 September 2023, malam, Bobby Nasution mengajak Kadis SDABMBK, Topan Ginting, mengecek banjir yang terjadi di sejumlah titik di Kota Medan akibat derasnya hujan sejak sore hari.
Bobby tampak mengecek banjir di Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim (di Wahid Hasyim ini masuk ke Jalan Sei Besitang). Kemudian Bobby juga memastikan kondisi drainase di Jalan Ayahanda hingga masuk ke Jalan Tinta.
Bobby banyak berinteraksi dengan warga yang terlihat berusaha melintasi genangan air di jalanan. Kepada warga yang tinggal di sekitar yang terdampak banjir Bobby juga tampak menyapa.
"Hati-hati pak, jangan sampai jatuh motornya," kata Bobby.

Kadis SDABMBK, Topan Ginting, membenarkan tinjauan yang dilakukan Wali Kota Medan, Bobby Nasution.
"Pak Wali instruksikan supaya pengerjaan drainase dipercepat dan dengan pengerjaan yang baik. Makannya beliau memastikan kondisi di lapangan. Kita lihat sejumlah titik termasuk cepat surut, artinya drainase mulai berfungsi dengan baik," Topan menandaskan.
Prajurit TNI AL dalam hal ini Yonif 9 Marinir sigap membantu evakuasi warga di Wilayah Padang Cermin dan Way Ratai yang terdampak Banjir, Senin (21/4).
Banjir akibat luapan Sungai Siak di Kota Pekanbaru, Riau, telah berdampak pada 28 ribu warga, dengan Kecamatan Rumbai menjadi wilayah terparah. Wali Kota Pekanbaru, Agung Nugroho, mengungkapkan bahwa debit air Sungai Siak mulai surut, namun jumlah warga terdampak masih terus bertambah.
Anggota Legislatif DKI Jakarta Mohammad Ongen Sangaji meminta BPBD DKI Jakarta memenuhi fasilitas tenda ramah lingkungan, khusus untuk ibu dan anak.
