Daftar Obat Sirop Aman dari Cemaran EG dan DEG yang Diumumkan BPOM

brominemedia.com-- Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan atau BPOM mengumumkan daftar obat sirop yang aman tanpa cemaran etilen glikol dan dietilen glikol. Pada Kamis lalu, 1 Desember 2022, BPOM merilis nama 172 produk obat sirup yang aman dikonsumsi melalui lampiran Penjelasan BPOM RI Nomor Hm.01.1.2.12.22.184 Tanggal 1 Desember 2022.

Keterangan BPOM itu mengatur tentang Informasi Kesepuluh Perkembangan Hasil Pengawasan Terkait Sirup Obat Yang Mengandung Cemaran Etilen Glikol/Dietilen Glikol. Dalam penjelasan itu, disebutkan sebanyak 46 produk obat dinyatakan aman hasil verifikasi yang dilakukan sejak 18 November hingga 29 November 2022.  

BPOM menyatakan verifikasi dilakukan berdasarkan pemenuhan beberapa kriteria, antara lain kualifikasi pemasok, pengujian bahan baku setiap kedatangan dan setiap wadah. "Serta metode pengujian yang mengikuti standar/Farmakope terkini,” tulis BPOM, dikutip dari keterangan resmi pada Jumat, 2 Desember 2022.

 Dengan begitu, tercatat total 172 obat sirup dari 22 industri farmasi yang dinyatakan aman, dan daftar obat yang sebelumnya termuat dalam Lampiran II Penjelasan BPOM RI Nomor HM.01.1.2.11.22.179 tanggal 17 November 2022 sebelumnya yang berjumlah 126 obat, sudah tidak lagi berlaku.
