Tim Nasional Indonesia U-20 akan melakukan pemusatan latihan (TC) di Eropa
dalam waktu dekat ini.
Pelatih Timnas Indonesia U-20, Shin Tae-yong membeberkan
target dan pekerjaan rumah (PR) yang akan dilakukan saat TC. Seperti diketahui,
para pemain Timnas Indonesia U-20 akan menjalani pemusatan latihan di Turki dan
Spanyol.
Sebelumnya, Marselino Ferdinan dkk dijadwalkan menggelar TC
di Antalya, Turki dan Spanyol hingga 5 November 2022.
Kemudian, berlanjut di Malaga, Spanyol pada 4 Desember 2022.
Akan tetapi, keberangkatan Timnas Indonesia U-20 ke Turki tertunda karena visa
sejumlah pemain disebut-sebut belum keluar.
Adapun, dilakukannya TC di Eropa itu sebagai persiapan
menatap dua kompetisi besar bagi Timnas Indonesia U-20 tahun depan. Kedua
kompetisi itu yakni Piala Asia U-20 2023 (1-18 Maret 2023) dan Piala Dunia U-20
2023 (20 Mei-11 Juni 2023).
Belum lama ini, Shin Tae-yong masih melakukan TC di Jakarta dengan para pemainnya. Seusai TC, Shin Tae-yong mengaku puas dengan anak asuhnya usai lolos Kualifikasi Piala Asia U-20 2023. Namun, hal itu belum dirasa cukup lantaran masih banyak kekurangan.
“Secara keseluruhan saya puas dengan kondisi anak-anak kemarin (kualifikasi Piala Asia U-20), namun masih banyak kekurangan. Karena itu, kami menggelar TC di Eropa dan harapannya pemain terus berkembang," papar Shin Tae-yong, dilansir dari YouTube PSSI TV, Sabtu (15/10).
Di sisi lain, Shin Tae-yong juga membeberkan targetnya untuk Timnas Indonesia U-20 selama TC di Eropa. Di mana, ia menginginkan rasa kepercayaan diri Ronaldo Kwateh dkk bisa terus meningkat setelah melawan tim Eropa.
"Target TC kali ini untuk mendapatkan kepercayaan diri. Kita akan melakukan uji coba dengan tim-tim bagus. Jadi pemain tidak harus takut untuk menghadapi tim-tim Eropa," ujar Shin Tae-yong.
Sementara itu, Shin Tae-yong juga akan fokus untuk membenahi PR yang masih ada terhadap kondisi fisik para pemainnya. Oleh karena itu, pelatih asal Korea Selatan tersebut ingin terus menggodok fisik Marselino Ferdinan dkk.
"Secara fisik pemain masih kurang jadi harus dikembangkan lebih baru kita bisa bersaing dengan tim-tim yang lebih hebat," tandasnya.
